Bringing Hope and a Home to Every Child
Every act of love helps us feed, educate, and empower orphans in Uganda.
Mayambala Orphanage Centre (MOC) is a growing community of compassion founded in 2020 by Mayambala Jamada. Inspired by his own childhood as an orphan, Jamada turned hardship into purpose. What began as a simple act of kindness for one child has grown into support for over 30 children and 13 families.
Our heart is simple: every child deserves love, dignity and the chance to thrive.
The heart behind MOC began with one boy, one haircut and one act of kindness. When our founder, Mayambala Jamada, met Patrick during his mobile barber work, he saw a young child in need of hope. Despite having very little himself, he chose generosity. That small moment transformed into a calling to uplift many more children facing similar struggles.
Today, this calling has grown into a full orphanage center that nurtures dreams, strengthens communities and brings light to children who once felt forgotten.
At the heart of Mayambala Orphanage Centre is a simple but profound belief:
every child is born with potential, and all they need is love, opportunity and guidance to unlock it.
We don’t just provide services; we build family. Every child who comes to MOC becomes part of a safe, supportive community where they are treated with respect, dignity and care. Love guides our decisions, our programs and our commitment to doing what is right.
We know the power of education to break cycles of poverty and open doors to a new future. Every book, every lesson and every school day brings a child one step closer to hope. That belief drives us to fight for every child’s right to learn
We don’t only care for children; we empower families, single mothers and youth with skills that can support them for life. When we lift one person, we lift their entire community.
We believe lasting impact comes from unity. Volunteers, donors and partners from around the world stand with us. Their support proves that compassion has no borders.
Every meal, lesson, workshop and act of kindness is part of a bigger picture: creating a future where vulnerable children grow into confident, responsible leaders who contribute positively to society.

Since our beginning, the journey has been filled with small steps, big victories and countless moments of transformation. Our impact is not measured only in numbers but in stories, smiles and changed lives.
We currently support over 30 children with daily care, education, mentorship and emotional support. Each child receives the stability they once lacked, gaining confidence, joy and hope for a brighter future.
We have empowered 13 families who were struggling to provide for their children. Through food support, counseling and skills training, we have helped restore dignity and strength to households facing hardship.
Multiple children now attend school consistently because of sponsorships we received. From uniforms to school fees to basic supplies, we ensure no child’s dreams are limited by their circumstances.
Youth and single mothers benefit from training in tailoring, carpentry, crafts and digital literacy. These skills help them start small businesses, support their families and pursue long-term stability.
Our feeding program ensures that children under our care have access to nutritious meals every day. No child should sleep hungry, and we work tirelessly to meet this basic need.
Volunteers from Uganda and around the world have joined us in teaching, mentoring, playing and supporting our children. Their time, love and skills have shaped experiences that our children will never forget.
Through sports, dance, music and art workshops, we help children discover talents they never knew they had. These programs build confidence, discipline and self-expression.
Our greatest impact is seeing children who once felt alone now smile, dream and believe in their future. Every day, lives are being transformed because someone decided to care.
